crunch time is approaching at the top of the Championship this year, with none of the top teams really in-form atm, and some big games coming up. Cardiff should do it this year surely, but who's going up with them?....I think it might look very different at the end of the season

11th are Bunley, but I think we can rule them out. I would say that any of those teams could be in the play-offs with a decent run. I reckon Forest are nailed-on for the Play-offs now, as they are in top form atm. I have no idea how Hull are up there tbh....I never seem to see them win, and the games I have seen, they have been awful!

I would say Leicester will miss out, despite being comfortable for the entire season...they can't buy a win atm and their upcoming games are very tough- Brighton(A), Bolton(H), Palace(A), Watford(H), Forest(A).

Leeds might look unlikely atm, but their run-in isn't the worst tbh: Ipswich(H),Derby(H), Charlton(A), Wed(H), Burnley(H), Birmingham(A), Brighton(H), Watford(A).

I am cautiously optimistic for Brighton. A few tough ones in there, but winnable given that we have just thrashed Palace and will be well up for it. Forest away is massive, and Leeds away will be very important as well: Forest(A), Charlton(H), Leicester(H), Boro(A), Peterborough(A), Blackpool(H), Leeds(A), Wolves(H). Hoping for wins in all the home games, which should see us in with a great chance with a few points away added.

I was just looking at the last day fixtures and there are some very juicy ones in there:

Hull vs Cardiff
Forest vs Leicester
Brighton vs Wolves(Wolves in the relegation zone:eek:...never been in the third tier apparently)
Watford vs Leeds

I'm gonna go with Cardiff and Watford for automatic, and Forest winning the play-offs

Cardiff, Watford and Brighton.

:)

Forest are finishing well and look good for the play off place

They have been exceptional lately. Fully expecting a loss next week when we play them. I wouldn't be surprised if they get an automatic place tbh. With most of the tops teams still to play each other, as I said, I think the table might look very different by the end.

Leicester have already totally collapsed(despite having the best strike partnership in the league), but I wouldn't rule out a Palace collapse either(I'm not just saying that because it's Palace:p). They were truly terrible yesterday, and Holloway does make some bizarre decisions, and has it in him to mess it up...they do have an easy run-in though(only have to play one top 10 team!)

I was really expecting some kind of a points deduction for Watford, but it hasn't happened. They are easily the best team I have seen this season, so in footballing terms deserve to go up atm. With the transfer embargo in place though, they will probably come straight back down!

Of those sides Hull, Watford and Forest please. Would be amazing if Cardiff miss out again :D

Meh, outside of Leeds and Bolton, there isn't a team there I wouldn't prefer to see get a chance in the prem league over QPR, Sunderland, Stoke(unfortunately very little chance of being relegated :( ), Reading(just for sheer rubbishness of that team, no problem with the club itself, they need a complete rebuild to be prem league worthy). So I care less about who gets promoted than who gets relegated. However, Cardiff, Watford, Forrest would be a decent combo and looks quite likely.

Well now that Watford have escaped a points deduction(though it might be protested by a club or two if they go up...not that it will make any difference) it looks like they are in a good position, and they do play the most attractive football, but they are a horrible club.

It will be interesting to see how it plays put if they do get promoted. They apparently have a transfer embargo which means they need prior authorization to sign players for the next year, which seems like nothing to me tbh, but seeing as pretty much their entire team is on loan, they might have a few problems when it comes to replacing them.

Cardiff have to win it reall now, Watford 2nd (they won't get a points deduction as QPR didn't and they broke more serious rules).

Got a horrible feeling Hull will finish 3rd and get through the playoffs, don't want to go to Hull next year!

I don't see Leicester doing it and Forest are getting there (as are Brighton and Palace) but I think Hull will take the momentum into the playoffs...

Hull have a poor record against the other top teams, especially recently. Might not bode well for them in the play-offs. As I said, I honestly have no idea how they are up there!....were they 20 points clear at one point and I missed it?

Hopefully Southampton will go down so you wont have to

No big loss, champ games were better fun anyway, seeing the "big teams of english football" this year has been funny even if the standard of football has been woefully hit and miss from all concerned.

They seem to have been quietly pulling in the right results all season long, got that quiet we'll just go up and get on with it sort of squad this year which has been the real surprise. Got a feeling this years playoffs will be really tight seeing the teams that are pushing for them, there isn't one team that clearly will be the underdog really.

If Cardiff go up, I apologise in advance for the appalling scenes.

Swansea Vs Cardiff is like Celtic and Rangers down here. Expect a bazillion police and fighting for no apparent reason. It's one thing to have a rival but this takes things to the extreme.

That said, if they do come up then at least we get the satisfaction of watching them potentially going straight back down. If they balls it up this year they'll never make it to the PL :o:D

Would be good to see forest in the top tier again, been too long. Apart from that not that fussed, Cardiff I suppose would be good due to the 'wales derby', and Brighton as I like ol Gus.

Swansea vs Cardiff has only one way of describing it - BLOODY
I can certainly remember derby games where stanley knifes were out gunning by people carrying hatchets

Mind you that was back in the grim old days - maybe thing will be better now after all Cardiff are the league's 'Family club of the year' !!!

I really hope Cardiff don't go up but it looks like they will.

The only away ground i've been where I thought I was going to get attacked, I was about 16 and on crutches at the time, shocking club and shocking fans.
