So who is gonna be promoted to the Premiership this year?

Meh, outside of Leeds and Bolton, there isn't a team there I wouldn't prefer to see get a chance in the prem league over QPR, Sunderland, Stoke(unfortunately very little chance of being relegated :( ), Reading(just for sheer rubbishness of that team, no problem with the club itself, they need a complete rebuild to be prem league worthy). So I care less about who gets promoted than who gets relegated. However, Cardiff, Watford, Forrest would be a decent combo and looks quite likely.

Do Leeds make you afraid?

I can see us (Forest) making the play-offs, but with our track record, I don't see it as a promotion season. Was it Reading who went on that amazing run to promotion last year?

I don't know if it's twisted logic, but I don't know if I'd like us promoted this season unless we're able to add some serious meat to the bones. I'd hate to go down like we have in the past, or worst still, like Derby. :p

/Edit: Cardiff look nailed on. Watford were the best side we played out of the current Top 10.

Massive game next week;)...was probably the most boring game I've seen down here earlier in the season, but the heat is on now, and both teams will be well up for it....we certainly can't afford any more draws!

Same here, by a mile

PS. You say you don't know if you want to get promoted....I am not even bothered tbh, I love this division!

It should be a very good game. Is Poyet off to Reading do you think? What effect would that have?

I enjoy the Championship - certainly a lot more when battling for promotion. However, I was 11/12 the last time Forest were a decent Premiership side and there's nothing quite like it. Full ground, usually massive away support etc.

I just cannot stand the thought of an absolute tonking week in, week out.

I very much doubt Poyet will go, as he has said he would only leave for a special job.(tbh, I am only really worried about Swansea when Laudrup moves on, he would fit them perfectly). He has permission to talk to Reading, but that isn't surprising...he has had a long-standing agreement with Tony Bloom(chairman) that he can talk to any Premiership club that wants to.

If he did go, we could kiss goodbye any chance of promotion this year, but in the long run it might not be a bad thing. I love Gus, he has bought great style to the club, and got us playing better football than we have seen for many, many years(possibly ever tbh), but he might have taken us as far as he can really.....getting a pay-off for him and bringing in someone a bit more attack-minded would not be the worst move.Too many draws and not enough goals this season.

Great set of results yesterday!

Leicester 0 - 1 Milwall
Palace 0 - 4 Birmingham
Watford 3 - 3 Burnley

Forest v Brighton is massive!...gonna be a great game. Can't say I am that confident though.

I won't lie...I would be quite happy if both Palace and Leicester fell away;)

Add losses for Boro, Bolton, Leeds and Cardiff today as well!

3 draws in a row has left Brighton in a much more precarious position than they should be...especially after conceding the late goal against Foret thanks to Ankergren:rolleyes:...not as confident of reaching the play-offs as I was!

Gonna keep my prediction of Cardiff and Watford(better run-in than Hull imo, and a better team...Hull have to play lots of teams with lots to play for!) Auto, with Forest winning the playoffs.

Leicester still look to be dropping away, though they did play well on saturday, and probably should have won the game tbh. I spoke to some Leicester fans after the game, and was surprised to find that they really don't like Chris Wood!...he didn't play on Sat, but was excellent earlier in the season.
Bolton have timed their run very well, but might be just a tad too late(hopefully!)...Palace are hilarious, not scored in 4 games now and Holloway looks totally lost:D

We (Forest) have to buck our ideas up, we've been pretty poor and/or one dimensional of late and have had a few bailouts that have kept us unbeaten since Davies returned, lose to Cardiff and then fail to win at Boro and we could be something like 8th!

That said I'd have taken our current position at the beginning of the season and if McLiesh had never been put in charge and we'd skipped straight to Davies then God knows.

Forest vs Leicester on the last day could turn out to be pretty epic! I was quite impressed with Leicester the other day tbh, considering how badly they have been doing recently.

I agree. I think the initial Davies euphoria has gone now and we need to change a few things. I don't see us lasting to be honest, but who knows.

My dad works in Melton (Leicestershire) and at the start of the season he really took some stick - "We'll get promoted at the CG last day..." etc. They've been very quiet lately! :D

I'm very sorry Andy... I predicted Leeds to have a great end to the season and maybe sneak the playoffs, as I thought they had an easy run-in, and they have lost all of their games since!:p

... I was kind of hoping you might get Gus next year if we don't go up tbh;)

Very disappointed you all seem to have written off my teams chances..........the mighty Hull City seem to be slipping under everyone's radar even when they keep winning.
I can't see Watford winning all their remaining fixtures so I'd say we need 1 win and 1 draw to see us over the line.:):):)

Got everything crossed.

Do I think we would do well IF we went up.......probably not but as long as they spent wisely and came back down with a stack of cash I think that would be a good season.

Good luck to everyone else's team still in the hunt........bar dirty Leeds of course;)

Edit. Just seen one of the dons is a Leeds fan..........don't forget you have to be fair and impartial here ;)

They really are!...as I said earlier, I never seem to see them winning(and probably didn't even think to look for their results at most times tbh), but they have always been up there. One thing though, Lucky you made the automatic place(a given now), as your form against the top teams is quite poor;)

Anyway, congratulations, seems like a fairly well run club.

Our form has been poor versus other top teams. It feels like we haven't won any of them tho we got wins away at Brighton, Watford andForest. At home we haven't won any.

I think the reason hull are not seen as a good playing club is due to their form when on tv. Our football has been dire to say the least. That and our 'star' player, Sonny Alonko, being injured has hurt the team. He seems to be the player with the skills and vision to open the opposition up.

But hey ho, all teams suffer injuries, especially this deep into the season.

So this is how the table looks going in to the last 3 games-

Hull should really put it to bed tonight.

Can't believe Brighton are in this position....3 draws in a row now:rolleyes:. We should be right up there! All of the injuries came at precisely the wrong time unfortunately. Ulloa, who joined in Jan, has played every second of the last 6 games! It is really annoying, as they knew we didn;t have the strikers, but didn;t get anyone in despite saying they would before the loan window finished:mad: A win vs Blackpool tomorrow is absolutely vital now.

None of the play-off chasing teams are in form atm!

Anyway, here are the remaining games:

Hull
H Bristol City
A Barnsley
A Cardiff

Watford
H Blackburn
A Leicester
H Leeds

Palace
H Leicester
A Blackburn
A Millwall
H Peterborough

Forset
H Barnsley
A Millwall
H Leicester

Brighton
H Blackpool
A Leeds
H Wolves

Leicester
A Palace
H Watford
A Forest

Bolton
H Middlesborough
A Cardiff
H Blackpool

Oh and LOL Palace....not scored in 5 games now:p

Its all a bit nail biting for a city fan though! A lacklustre first half from the Tigers, hopefully see some improvement in the second half.
