So who wants to buy an oldskool Skyline?

AFAIK pretty much every K reg car will have a cat.

Whats the cat requirement date cutoff point, its 1992 isnt it ? Just wondering about hassle I might get at the next MOT even though I run LPG

To me, "oldskool" skyline is an R32, a modern decent skyline is an R34, that one in the OP is unfortunately an old rusting boat of a thing :(

Possibly look a lot better modded and clean, but that in the OP just foul.

That's like calling three-stud Saxos 'oldskool'.

lol - Penski, you're old-school love is rubbing off on me.

First it started off with sleepers (big power volvo 740 from sweden comes to mind), now i'm loving older style cars.

I'm even getting very very attatched to deep dish wheels too...I'll blame you for making me spend money, but you're a good man :p

That just looks like a piece of crap an old man uses to drive to and from the shops in.

That's not Retro, that's scrapyard fodder.

*Sigh*

Actually, you know what? I'm glad that people out there think like this. It means that there'll be more cars for me to choose from when I'm on the look-out again :)

Yes, it's a four door. Yes, it has dated body styling. But do you realise that when you lift the bonnet you can actually SEE the engine?

And it's still fuel injected. But you can still actually see the ground by looking through the top of the engine bay!!

There's none of that CRAP that modern cars have corrupting the view!!

Plus it has that wonderful throaty sound that the old E-type Jags had......

Straight 6 = win.

Straight 6 on triple Weber 45s = win +

Straight 6 on two sets of bike throttle bodies from a Triumph Triple = win + +

Well, yeah. There's nothing can compare to the sound of six 38mm bores gulping half of the earth's atmosphere into them!! :D

Neither my Stag (K Reg) nor my GT6 (M Reg) has a cat.

I love the look of some of these old skool motors (obviously, as the newest car I own is 33 years old). However, while a lot of class often goes into the outside, some have blommin' awful interiors. I was seriously thinking of a P5B, but the interior dash layout and stuff is hideous. Some of the early TVR's look pretty good from outside, but inside they are a nightmare.

Mind you, this is something that continues to this day. I like the look of the Noble, but the interior looks like someone just stacked some cardboard boxes in there and covered them in cheap carpet.

i like the old skylines but that ?.....no it just doesnt do it. I'd rather have a mk1/2/3 cortina tbh
