So who's going to buy a Titan for folding?

theres people who don't fold who have bought them, if you know any of them, you could ask them to try folding and see what ppd it shows, i dont think that will matter though as for the cost of 1 card you could build a cpu + gpu pc to fold more than 50k ppd

i also seen that theres some evga gtx590 for £350 :o 2 of these!

saying that, loudbob seems to be well off with money, i should imagen he'll have at least 4 next week lol

I had a quick look and the consensus is they will output the same as a Gtx 690

I bought2 just to stomp voicon no I'm joking.

Ppd per watt should be great on these but I think it will take a while for them to be optimised.

boinc/folding its all for the good of the team :)

Me I just forked out on 690's so Titans are now out of reach unless I sell the 690's and get titans to replace them..

I think if gaming performance is anything to go buy (and its often not) that the 690's might perform better than the Titan on Folding and or Seti. Although Milkyway or anything that uses Double precision maths will probably bring the Titan up to 7970 or higher performance.

Power wise Titan's not that much better than a 690, maybe 40W per card at peak performance.

4 titans :o, thats some cost & power. you could get one of baba 48 core set ups for abit more than 2 titans costs :o:o:D:D

next week i should hear if somebody has a working 4 slot pci board set up is still working and if he can wait till payday, im going to get it from him :D

What was the PPD on them? Not that I can afford them.. :(

Dunno, never ran them :) Supposedly they should be the same as two slightly underclocked 680's

Found this on the Folding Forum:
