So...

Yeah, I've heard the Atkins says to drink 2 litres of water a day, I'm not sure why it wants that though. I'm not doing it, but now that I'm reminded I may as well do it.

Atkins induction is 20 grams of carbs, which is what I was meaning, virtually none. Did you stick on the 20 or did you come off the induction after 2 weeks?

I stuck on induction throughout and lost 3 stone 7lbs in just over 3 months.

Drinking atleast 2 litres of water on the Atkins is really important as you body wont let you lose weight as quick else.

I take it your Ketosis strips (when used) are a dark purple or similar purple color?

Started off feeling horrendously ill, fell asleep at half 10 on new year's eve because I was that bad. However, getting a minor promotion at work, being in a healthy relationship, getting a pc again and probably getting a new car in the coming weeks would suggest 2011's got off to a decent start. :)

Drinking 2 litres of water a day is reccomended regardless of being on the atkins diet or not.

The reason it's pushed when people are on keto/low carb diets is because with the minimal carb consumption your body will be retaining much less water, so it's important to keep hydrated more then ever. :)

Had man flu over Christmas and spent most of boxing day on the mother in-laws couch asleep:D (result)....... Was glad to finally get back to work on the 4th January as was getting bored watching Christmas repeats on the TV

And got made an Admin on the forums so yup good start to the new year :)

Pretty good it would seem. I've just started a Merchant Navy Engineering Cadetship on the 10th here at South Tyneside College. The lads all seem to be a pretty decent bunch, as are the staff, the lessons are something for the first time in years that I'm actually interested in and enthusiastic about. Plus I feel that I'm coping better with being away from home on a permanent basis for the 1st time in my 27 years (pathetic I know) than I'd anticipated. Roll on the at sea phase in August. :)

Ah right. I drink a lot of liquids. Tea, diet drinks, diluting orange and I drink water at work. However I meant the 2 litres of water simply as an extra 4 pints.

I've read debunkings of the "other drinks don't count as water" stuff.

Enjoying 2011 so far, that being said I didn't set myself any resolutions. I have some plans this year which will take me out of my comfort zone a little (overused phrase) but rather than dreading it I'm looking forward to it. :)

Swings and roundabouts, i had a Biology exam today which i think went okay (which probably means i did badly) but then i got my English Language results back (A*, 330/400 :) ). More exams coming up but i've stopped caring to be honest, probably a bad thing but we'll see how it goes ;)

What, i'm in a good mood. I can put off revision if it means having a life :p

Started fine for me so far *fingers crossed* Finally got round to making a proper budget which im determined to stick with. Following it should get me debt free in 2 years and claw back some of my savings.

Looks like people are having their ups and downs. Mine has been fairly good I would say, should be a lot better within a week or so. :)
