Looking for a socket 1155 motherboard for £70 or less.
Must have 6 SATA, 4 Memory Slots and a HDMI port.
Not bothered about brand.
What would you recommend?

Thanks.

Hard really without limiting future options:(

If you want to overclock a "K" CPU you need a P67/Z68 board.

Also boards on a smaller budget tend not to have the four RAM slots and 6 SATA ports, there always seems to be some compromise.

No overclocking or future CPU needed (i3 2100 at most), 6 SATA's /HDMI most important, memory slots not as important. What about AMD boards maybe?

Looking at the Gigabyte you linked to

Can anyone confirm this has 6 SATA ports or 5 (looking at Gigabytes website)

Hmm, give me a second.

The reason being there is two versions of the board, 2.0 and 1.0

• The 1.0 has six SATA ports and ones disabled if the mSATA is used.
• The 2.0 has just five SATA ports and the mSATA.

You will need to check with OCUk which one is in stock, but im 99% sure the 2.0 version isnt in the UK.

1st - General use, browsing, office, flash, dreamweaver, photoshop (nothing too advanced) etc
2nd - Going to be used as a storage place for all my BD backups that will be on the network, that my HTPC can access, kinda like a NAS I guess, but won't be on all the time, just on weekends, will also need to be used for ripping from disc to HDD.
