Socket 2011

No, but they do support the socket as I remember seeing the parts listed on the instructions when I installed one last.

Do you need to know something more specific?

Thank you for your reply, my concern is. Have heard rumours that the mobo bracket has to be removed before installing cooler. This build is for my grandson, is already doing my head in big time.

You have to use the backplate that Corsair supply for all sockets as far as I'm aware. The difference with Socket 2011 seems to be the size of the stand-offs used, they supply specific ones. So if the Socket 2011 board you are using has a backplate for its current cooler, it will need removing. However the metal support plate on the board should stay installed. Here is a PDF of the very basic instructions they provide with the Corsair H100 cooler: http://www.corsair.com/media/cms/manual/forWeb_8.5inx11in_H100.pdf

What is the board used in his system?

2011 socket already has a large backplate that you just screw in to....most coolers give you the screws to screw into it so if the h100 says 2011 compatible it will most likely give you the screws....it sounds confusing i know but its really very good because if you change coolers all you have to do is screw the new machine screws they give you in through the holes on the mobo which means you dont have to take the mobo out your case which is fantastic

had a quick look and people have made it fit
will send you a trust message with what i have found :)

enable your trust and i will send you the link mate

It fits lga2011 socket as standard. I have used one on numerous x79 motherboards for my reviews.
