Being a novice, I've seen you can get specific Gigabtye overclocking software (looks simple enough), maybe thats something worth considering?

Well I thin that my DFI LanParty is the best for overclocking as I had an
A8N-E and got 2.8Ghz tops and with the DFI I could reach 2.95Ghz.

So I am very pleased with it.

Great. Knowing me I will probs end up going for the DFI then post all my problems

Although I have someone very computer literate to help me.

Quicky Question

Is the extra 512kb Cache a big jump? As I believe its still possible to get the 3000+ Venice to 2800mhz?

i managed to get 3700 retail new and asus A8N SLI Premium used (MM) for £100. I would say this is athe best combo OC'd to 2.7Ghz on stock cooler check sig for spec
