Sorry man, an Intel E6550 CPU needs to go in a s775 motherboard. The AM2+/AM3 boards only support AMD chips.

I'd be happy to recommend you a s775 board to you. What kind of budget are you looking at what will you be doing with it? Also, will you want to do some overclocking?

I assume you will be using a PCIe graphics card if you are gaming, so you won't need integrated graphics.

As you won't be needing to overclock you can go for a lower-end board.

Are there any other features or connections that will you need, like: crossfire/SLI capability, RAID support, many SATA/eSATA connections, IDE support or many extra PCI and PCIe slots for add-in cards?

Won't need crossfire or RAID, but I will need SATA for my HD and DVD R/W Drive plus PCI and PCIe.

Found this HERE what do you think.
Edit the board that I'm trying to show is the Intel DG43GT G43 Socket 775 1333FSB DVI HDMI Out 8 Channel Audio MATX Motherboard.

you would be looking at s775 boards with a p43 or p45 chipset, not the g31/g41. For your budget i would be leaning towards the p45 (p43 is the value, p45 is mainstream)

If he isnt over clocking is the chipset so important.

\i would go for the cheapest board you can find, put the money towards a better cooler for youe CPU.
