Socket AM3 CPU coolers.

Hello.

I am looking for a CPU cooler to fit my http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-168-GI, and got a bit lost looking through all the different types.

Could anyone reccommend a good one which isn't mega expensive? The CPU I will be using is a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-249-AM which i eventually plan to overclock. I will also be using a http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-101-AN case so it will have to fit in there (not sure if space will be a issue, it's a big case as far as i know).

Hi Doug,

I've got a Titan Fenrir on that mobo for my 955BE. It's in an Antec 902 case and there is sufficient space. Not sure without digging how the size relates to the Antec 300 - you could compare widths.
Only problem I had, was the Fenrir effectively covers Ram slot 1 BUT if you're only going to use 2 sticks then slots 3 and 4 are aok and stable.

I've not o/c'd my 955BE yet...but at stock it's about 28C idle and 43C load.

I have decided to go with a Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro though as i gave Overclockers a call earlier and they said it was a good one and that it would work with my motherboard. Thanks for the reccommendation though, might consider upgrading once i get a bit more cash to spend
