I've never played a SOCOM game, are they any good would I be right in thinking they are similar to CS?

I know it's not out for a while, but this looks promising

Socom 2 is the best game ever made for ps2 imo, the psp versions kinda suck. The last socom ps2 release Socom 3 was patheticly ***p.

Hopefully the new game will be good. I can't wait for it!
