If you're buying sofas, I can highly recommend using Next. If you browse my thread creation history, you will see two threads I created regarding sofa-buying. I researched this for at least three months before pulling out my wallet. Time and time again I was warned away from DFS or SCS. For every good experience I heard, I heard 10 horror stories. Fair enough, people that got stung is exponentially more vocal, but I most certainly saw an underlying trend.
Next is more expensive but the quality over DFS is unquestionable, no salesmen hassling you, etc. I paid £1500 for two large fabric 3 seaters and a modern chair. It was bought on a Monday evening and delivered that Saturday. Six days from buying I was stretched out on it with a big smile on my face.
Word of warning, the Next website and their sofa section is utter rubbish. You need to pop into your nearest Next Home to check out the selection.
