'Soft' Drum and bass

I am getting into it, a lot at the moment. I used to like the faster paced stuff, but the as of late, I'm falling for softer stuff.

So want to ask if anyone knows of where I can start looking for more?
 
Yep, liquid sounds like what you are after.

Fred V & Grafix is a good starting point, then the rest of Hospital Records :)

check out a mid 90's bukem set. there's loads of beauty's out there
 
Dub Phizix isn't really soft.

S.P.Y is amazing though, if you want softer stuff definitely get his new album, he has loads of styles on there.

That brings back so many memories, i was lucky enough to be a raver in the early to mid 90's.
remeber helicopter, long dark tunnel tunes etc...
I may be wrong here, but i my day i am sure we classed this soft D&B as jungle techno?

Phizix is certainly 'softer' than Fred V & Grafix, Fred V is just pure dancefloor music. Liquid, but still dancefloor music. Phizix tunes are more broken down, all about the bass with lots more room to breathe. Admittedly Marka etc destroys the clubs, but a lot less messy.

Agreed on S.P.Y though, he absolutely smashes every tune.

Shayper do you stream anywhere? I used to play a slot on a pirate station and I'll be doing it again soon, but in the meantime i'm thinking of setting up a ustream chan. Would you be up for co-streaming?

You could play an hour and then I could follow it up with an hour, something like that. With OcUK's help i'm sure we could make it quite popular.

I don't at the moment no, but I would definitely be up for it! Unfortunately I've asked about promoting music streams on here and got told no for copyright issues. We can't even post soundcloud links.
