Despite owning a few soft tops I've always avoided doing anything to the roof canvas in case I mess it up, but what do you do to keep it look healthy and the right colour?

I used a dedicated roof cleaner, which included a cleaner and sponge to remove the gunk, and then a spray to enhance the water resistance and UV resistance . Worked wonders.

We used to use some autoglym set thing specifically for them when we had an MX5, seemed to keep it in good condition and the water beading off and it wasn't expensive. Think it was 2 or 3 different bottles in the box you used in order?

I've used Autoglym kits in the past. Comes with a cleaner and waterproofer. Works well but overspray from the waterproofer needs to be removed instantly from your paint otherwise you are in for a fun time trying to remove the marks.

Gone for Renovo this time round but haven't tried it yet. Not the car lives inside the cleaning requirement is much less so it is just for waterproofing.
