Ive ordered a samsung 226bw which for the moment will be running on a 6800GT. Im aware the samsung doesnt support 1:1 hardware pixel mapping. How well does 1:1 pixel mapping in software work, and whats the best way of doing it on an nvidia card?

Worked perfectly when I tried it. IIRC you access it in the monitor section of the nvidia control panel, as long as you're using DVI.

Excuse my intrusion, what exactly is 1:1 pixel mapping?

It means that if you have a resolution of 1280x960, it doesn't stretch it to fill the screen but only uses 1280x960 of the LCD pixels which means you'll have black borders around the image.

And, for me it doesn't work in Vista - it reverts back to the screen stretches the image.
