Software Crossfire

What exactly do I need to get software crossfire running on my pc?

I have 2 x1950xts and a crossfire motherboard. Do I need a connector cable for the two cards, if so which one?
 
Then somethings gone horribly wrong because both cards are detected but I don't get an option for crossfire in the CCC.
 
Yup, completely removed them as I was using 6.10 then restarted with both cards in and installed 6.12. Doesn't seem to have worked :(
 
Have managed to get it working, just kept restarting and eventually it came up :confused:

Anyway 3dmark 06 gives me about 1k more marks than I used to get with a single card, but I have some bloatware to remove plus this is a 965 series mobo which isnt the best for xfire.
