I used this link:
ftp://ftp.ukc.mirrorservice.org/sit.../yellowdog/iso/yellowdog-6.0-DVD_20080207.iso
Maxed my connection out that did, see you found a download link though, is yours 3.8gb too?
I maxed my connection out at 290Kb/s, odd that mine was 3.8Gb though.
I think its because you are using version 6, i am downloading 5.0.2.
Ah, I decided to use Version 6 as it seemed more up to date, at least it was convincing enough what they said on there site.
Cheers Andshrew, i have already partitioned it so that 10gb was allocated to the Other OS, i was just about to insert the Linux Ubuntu Cd to install that, but i changed my mind at the last min and though i would go with YDL instead. Got about 1 hour left on the download
With mirror.ac.uk, I just get DNS error cannot be found. The other UK sites do not work either...
But it did link me through to the Kent Uni mirror which worked (http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.yellowdoglinux.com/pub/yellowdog/)
) - There's a free 21 day trial on their web site http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.htmlSeems mirror.ac.uk's been taken offlineBut it did link me through to the Kent Uni mirror which worked (http://www.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.yellowdoglinux.com/pub/yellowdog/)
If it's not letting you burn the image to dvd then I'd try some different software... clonecd is good (will burn dvd's too despite the name) - There's a free 21 day trial on their web site http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html

When you have YDL on the PS3 and it boots into the PS3 as normal, how do you get from PS3 into Linux?
I know how to go from Linux to PS3 but how do i do it other way around?
Is the image over 4.37GB? If so then it's too big for a standard DVD.managed to get YDL downloaded, only thing is i am now trying to burn the image to a DVD, i have a DVD+R sitting in the drive and it says it is 4.7gb, but everytime i try to write the ISO to disc with ISO recorded, and it says under recorder section "E: Blank writeable Non usable"
I dont understand why it is doing this....
Anyone?

linux is a waste of time right now. sorry if id have seen the thread id have said something sooner![]()
