Hi all,

I have a friend which phoned me this evening, hes setting up a VETs clinic and wanted my advice on possible software he could use, to store the owners, animals details, previous costs, drugs they have had etc etc.

Does anyone know of any software which fits this bill please. He's had a quite from one company of 6k!!! which seems a lot.

Thanks :)

Jon

Microsoft Access setup right will do that, stick a small NAS box somewhere with the file and connect all the PC's to that.

Should do the trick.

I thought about this, but Im quite shocking with Access. I did my A level Access CW by taking screen shots of the teachers demo database and writing about it.

Ms paint for the win.

Same. Not used it for just over a year now… But, iirc, it has all the stuff he needs, password protection, possibility of a shiny interface if someone takes the time to do that, and the rest of it which I've forgotten.

This brings up the question, what was the point of teaching this to me at school for me to forget just one year later? :o

haha yeh tell me about it.

I know how to install access, thats about it :p.

Any other ideas guys, off the shelf software thats not sill money?
