Software for viewing and deleting photos quickly?

So i have quite a lot of photos to sort through, the majority of which are crap. Are there any programs I can download for free which will allow me to flick through them quickly in full screen and hit delete on the crap ones, thereby sending them to the reycle bin? Currently doing this with windows picture and fax viewer, but it means I have to view the picture, go back to the folder, locate the picture and manually delete it. This is ok for a few photos but when I have over 1000 to look through it is a bit time consuming to say the least.

Any ideas?

I like Microsoft Gallery one. Puts all the photos into the right dates etc and very easy to use. It can be downloaded if in Win 7 or XP.

No, just press the little red delete button at the bottom.

Last time I used pic & fax viewer was about 4 years ago and I know there's a delete button there.

you can download a codec for most versions of windows now so that you can view raw images in windows like normal jpegs.
