Software needed

Im looking for a software that i can use on my website, i want users who view my site to be able to register and create a single page of their own to promote themselves and their own websites, ie: they can add a quick bio about themselves and maybe a picture and they can add a link to their own personal website.

Is there anything that can do this? preferably free.

regular PC software won't do this mate

you need a Content Management System (CMS) hosted on a server.

Yeah thats what i meant really...hehe.

I suppose it would be just like a member list on a forum for example, i want just a member list type page where users can register and have their name on the main page so that people who visit the site can click on the member name and it takes them to this members very own page that they have created.
But also there needs to be a bit where a new user say can click on to register and then be able to create their own page.
I suppose a cms would be good and i have many that i could instal via my cpanel on my webhost but i dont think any of them actually suit what it is im trying to do.

something like joomba has thousands of module/component add ones - something is bound to be available for your needs!
