Right... got someone who works in an office who has 3 pcs... one winxp machine as the "server" well its really just a storage machine with a shared folder. The other pcs connect to it via a hub and they can both work out of the shared folder. However they want to now password protect certain sub-folders as they have a new temp and dont want her nosing around. Basicly they want to be able to browse to the folder/s in question... double click on it and be asked for a password... they enter the password and the folder opens.

Is there any free software to do this? or something they need to buy. Ive never really looked into this before so thought id see if anyone here knew something that would work. Thanks.

Thanks but is this case it wont work. The people dont want to use separate accounts, they only want the pcs to log straight in. ( stupid i know but thats people for ya) so the NTFS permissions is of no use.
The temping girl will just be using either pc and therefore will be able to browse the folder. I need something that will just popup a password window when a folder is accessed. Ive been looking about but the only progs ive seen are too complicated for these people to use. They can barely use a mouse let alone use winzip! ;)
Ideally i need something i can just setup and the only thing they will have to do is type a password in when they click on the folder. Anything else is asking for trouble with these two :D
