software to record from desktop.

Hi.

I'm looking for some software that can record what I am doing in the desktop environment, like there is fraps for games, I'd like one for the desktop as I want to make a video.

It'd be good if it has dual screen compatibility too.

The latest MSI afterburner will record video from both ingame and also the desktop with audio capture.

How about Camtasia Studio from TechSmith?

It's not free, but they might do a trial which could be enough for what you need?

You did go to the video capture tab and not the screen capture tab? I set mine to ctrl r, recorded a video uncompressed for not long at all and it was 5 odd gb lol!
