Software to turn on and off HDD's?

One of my drives seems to be very noisy, and constantly on full spin. It's only a media drive so there is no reason it should so I want to be able to turn it on and off in Windows (vista) as at the moment it makes to many vibrations to actually be attached, and i'm missing my music and films...

Is there any software that allows this?

Change the idle timer in the power settings control panel. Your main drive is unlikely to spin down due to vista's nasty habit of doing lots of disk activity.

Thanks, I'll have a look at that. My main drive (or my other one) is not a problem, it's only myy 500GB hitachi that seems to vibrate and make much more noise. I'm hoping to be able to turn it on and off as such so it literally doesn't spin unless I turn it back on (like if the power cord is taken out).
