Solar panel production figures

Today's generation, a rather poor 28.63 kWh, and 19.84 exported.

Total generation for the month is 1091 kWh, was hoping to hit 1100, last July we generated 1069, so beat last year by 22 kWh. Beat May (1047), but not June (1227)

872 kWh imported (cheap rate) and 929 kWh exported.

So how is August going to fair, and will those new panels be online????

I am just getting my system feeding data into PVOutput now but I have an issue where I've fed it the cumulative generation number and this accounts for some generation yesterday. I can't see a way to delete the specific line without deleting everything so unless someone knows some magic I think I'll have to manually edit today to show the actual number and then hopefully after that it'll all work out the way it should...

I'm on 54.87kWh for the day so far...

What's your username of PVOutput - can't see anyone obvious in the team (although I think you need 5 days output to join). I think it will sort its self out, but make sure you have your time zone set to the UK.

Not a very good day today, but I was glad, given I was working outside, in the loft and on the roof running in cables for more solar.

24.24 generated and 19.11 exported

I called SSE and reported the issue. Amazingly an oik arrived here last night at gone 6pm. Gutted I was out so my wife had to relay info. He turned everything off, said "cant see an issue" but somebody will come back on Monday and install some monitoring equipment.

Luckily I have HA log files.

I've a couple of times had to get someone out over the years, they tend not to believe you, but then you show them the logs, in my case it was the logs from the UPS. Not sure whether or not they did install a data logger, don't think they did on either occasion. The engineer last time told me they have to alter the tap point on the transformer twice a year to adjust the voltage, back then it was the early hours of the morning our voltage was rising.

expect that it is local microgeneration that is driving the voltage up but still, they need to be keeping on top of it as stuff will start getting damaged if it keeps on climbing.

Don't forget if your exporting you'll see more than grid voltage, your inverter will raise the voltage to export, but clearly the voltage is drifting too high - this is the reason the limit exports. The acceptable range is 216.2 to 253.0 volts

Just to add to the above:

How much data is stored on a Smart Meter?
The SMETS 2 specification requires the following data to be recorded and stored.
Half-hourly electricity data:
  • 13 months of consumption (Active Energy Import)
  • 3 months of active energy exported
  • 3 months of reactive energy imported
  • 3 months of reactive energy exported.
Gas data:
  • 3 months of half-hourly consumption
  • 13 months of monthly consumption.
