I wouldn't trust the mets cloud map. Countless times it gave clear or cloud burning up over the day and it didn't. Of course I welcome it when they say its cloudy and it isn't, but that's rarer..

I know it can change quickly but nothing can be predicted with complete accuracy, it now looks different than it did 12 hours ago but I don't mind a worst case scenario outlook when it comes to weather for solar.

We had 40 kWh forecast for today, which would have meant just passing 1100 for the month, then came clouds, then some rain, back to sunny now, but only on 20 kWh so far today.

Just up the coast we had a bit of cloud but I’m on 36, and currently generating 5kw.

very spiky day today, so far I am at 18 and with solcast prediction in Home Assistant I have it so it doesn't update between 0600-2000 so I can see how accurate the prediction was for that day.

Was doing a little better than predicted up to 1pm then doing worse than predicted after.

I am just getting my system feeding data into PVOutput now but I have an issue where I've fed it the cumulative generation number and this accounts for some generation yesterday. I can't see a way to delete the specific line without deleting everything so unless someone knows some magic I think I'll have to manually edit today to show the actual number and then hopefully after that it'll all work out the way it should...

I'm on 54.87kWh for the day so far...

23.7 again today, two decentish days in a row rescued the monthly stats, nearly caught May but nowhere near June. 560 for July.

Today's generation, a rather poor 28.63 kWh, and 19.84 exported.

Total generation for the month is 1091 kWh, was hoping to hit 1100, last July we generated 1069, so beat last year by 22 kWh. Beat May (1047), but not June (1227)

872 kWh imported (cheap rate) and 929 kWh exported.


So how is August going to fair, and will those new panels be online????

What's your username of PVOutput - can't see anyone obvious in the team (although I think you need 5 days output to join). I think it will sort its self out, but make sure you have your time zone set to the UK.

Overall seems like a fairly decent month for solar here as my system exceeded the estimates again with total of 801.4.

44.7kWh generated and 23.7kWh exported.

Ended the month on 1030.0kWh vs a target of 1043.9kWh. That's short of June, but slightly higher than May.

In July we imported 16.3kWh and exported 624.7kWh, including 248.6kWh at the peak rate.

The electricity bill was therefore -£88.01 in July and -£426.65 for 2024 so far. Our combined gas and electricity bill is -£187.55.
