Just 5.02kWh generated, and 7.09 exported, more exported than generated!!!

I have to go back to 11 March to find a worse day, I think I need more panels, might have made another kWh or two then

Even in the middle of summer I charge the batteries overnight, with flux it barely costs anything to do that, as day export is about the same price as cheap import.

We currently at 6.8, better than yesterday, but I stopped discharge at 50% today, currently at 49%, as by 2am this morning the battery was at 11%, and Friday night tens to use more power - something to do with my cinema room probably

A bit better than yesterday, but cloud all day again, although no rain. 7.25 generated and 5 exported as set export to stop at 50% SOC - currently at 29%

On the positive side Heat pump completed.

For your system size that's terrible, and just goes to show how bad it can be, we have a 50kWp system at work, and I'm sure the lowest I've ever noticed was about 6kWh.

Good news on the heat pump, did you go with one of the big players, Heat Geeks engineer, or just a normal independent?

Started raining here about an hour ago, rather annoying as I was working outside, only had 6 holes left to drill for the new outside lights.

Generating just 320w and battery discharging, as least it reached 100% SOC.

104 days, or 3 months and 13 days until 21 December, it will soon come round, then we can all start seeing an increase again.

We was doing OK until the rain arrived just after midday, 15.45 generated and 10.74 exported.

Looks like Scotland had a very good day.

Meanwhile down south, 12.13 and 11.9 exported, good job we had an hours worth of free power.

We had a much better day, was on course to hit 30 until the rain came in just after 4.

Still we generated 28.9 and exported 28.259, we also had much higher peaks today due to the cold weather, highest was 7.7kW, don't think I've seen any that high for quite some time.

Nice day down here as well, 36.5 generated and 32.4 exported, also the best day of the month so far.

Shame those new panels aren't installed yet, would have been a nice boost today.

We had a dry sunny day, luckily, given I had to make major repairs to the roof, that wasn't expected.

Now is it worth exporting from the battery this evening or not what do people do I took the battery down last night and then put 15Kwh off peak in is it worth

I'm on Flux, I always charge over night (about 15p per kWh), and once battery is charged excess is exported (around 15p), and then I always export down to 45% SOC between 16:00 and 19:00 peak rate at about 26p. It all adds up over time.

Do the summer months average it out so you get close to this or more or is it just winter when you are going to fall short on the solar coming in so do it winter but not summer.

I do it all year round, I do reduce my overnight charge in the summer, aim to be 80% SOC at 5am, I set the charge to 100% at the start of September as it was so bad. Often I don't have much to export in the winter for obvious reasons, but will likely do better this winter, more solar coming online soon, and my Chia farm will be turned off around the end of the month, so will use a lot less electric (about 6 kWh a day less roughly). It is the summer months where it really pays, and that builds up a good reserve for the winter. Changing to a different tariff would probably make a difference in the winter but I can't be bothered.

Another reason for always charging, is you don't have to work out what the weathers going to do, and on Flux there is very minimal difference in pricing, so its pretty much cost neutral.
