I bought it yesterday.
I played Solasta 1, and really enjoyed the first half. Was a bit bored during the 2nd half and still haven't played the DLCs yet.
I'm hopeful for no2. I fired it it for a quick look.
One thing that I actually liked and agreed with during Solasta 1, was the prevention of multi-classing, as IMO it results in some fairly obvious "metas", e.g. always taking a fighter for 1st level as a cleric/wizard, just because you can then use any armour, a shield, all standard weapons and get maximised hit points. The downside to getting spells a level later is just not enough of a negative. Solasta 1 obliged your wizard to NOT have armour, which to someone who played D&D even before AD&D seems a bit "odd".
I appreciate that as a player that I can simply not use the above meta, and that's fine, if the game balance assumes accounts for what is IMO a significant difference.
