Agreed. Good value stuff for an infrequent user. Make sure you've got the right tip on it too. Another good thing about Weller is how easy it is to buy tips and spares.
I have a ZD-916, from that electronics retailer that can't be named here. The manufacturer in China is most helpful, I had an issue with mine regarding the temperature control (after a couple of years hard use), an engineer guided me through wiring up a new heating element. In retrospect I should have just bought a new handle + iron (ZD-914) but live and learn
Any tips for good tips for the Weller? I'll be using it mostly for Arduino and other small electronics work. Also, good solder? My research brings back kester 60/40 sized at 0.030.
