I've had a computer built from Overclockers componants for about 3 years. I am now considering what sort of componants will be going into my next one.
Having seen and read of the obvious advantages of SSD's I am looking seriously at them . However, at the moment they don't come in anything bigger than 256 Gbs and they are VERY expensive. Does any think they will ultimately become cheaper and come in greater capacities than at present?Perhaps to the extent of superseding HDD drives completely. My favourite activity with my computer is flight simulators where I think an SSD drive would be a great advantage. I will continue to look with great interest at how the prices of these devices move.

Hopefully, quite soon. Although I am not planning an upgrade in the very near future, I am now looking at the hardware (and operating systems) with the idea in mind that in 12months or so what might be affordable by then. One thing is for sure ,SSD's are definately going to be worth a look.

Judging by the current growth and uptake, as well as the advantages involved, I'd say that the SSD market will get very competitive (it already is to be honest), which will only result in better technology and lower prices.
