Solid State Raid-0 etc plz explain

Theres a helpful Sticky thread.

I'll be nice this time though :
RAID-0 = splitting your data over two or more drives, It means you get faster reads and writes becasue you can read or write to all the drives at the same time.

Solid State = Instead of rotating magnetic platters, Solid State drives are the grown up version of your USB memory sticks. Bigger, Faster, and they have the connections to be used inside your PC so you can boot from them just like a normal hard drive.

your sig mate and you love your PC? ;) Google is your friend.

Zarf explained it :)

Raid 0 will make 2 or more drives be seen as 1 Harddrive on your PC and should give a slight performance increase (read/write). but if one of the harddrive fails, your data is most likley lost. Raid 0 is usally used for the Operating system, programms and Games =]

Solid State Drives (SSD) are the "new" kind of harddrives. and pretty much what Zarf has writen :P
