Solved HD resonating (pics)

Most hard drives are fine running passive.

Depending on the lineup a rear exhaust can provide a little airflow over them.

It is possible to mod a front fan into one. Lian Li EX34 is ideal, mod it and then use it for the intake. Linky Ma Link

I can't get you temps of my hard drives, to old and no temperature monitoring in the case, but they have ran 24/7 for 3 years just fine. :)

Not using any extra fans to cool it but i've got pretty beefy panaflo's to cool the case. I'm not too worried about the temps of the drives.

Ok guys I mite give this a go sometime, I currently have a 120mm blowing over my 2 HDs
So did i, but now that air isn't blocked by the hard drive and more of it gets to the other hotter components like the graphics card :)

Nice work Day01, where did you get the gel pads from?. I like the elastic idea as well but i don't really have the room to do that. I have my HDD in a silentmax enclosure and then it is resting on the bottom of my case. The bottom of my case has paxmat on it so any vibrations coming from the enclosure are eaten up by the foam mat.
