EDIT - SOLVED !!! (new PSU/power cable solved issue)

-----------------------------------------------------

A bit stumped on this.

Bought some new gear recently and having issues in testing.

Copying large numbers of video files from se card to an Internal SSD (not C Drive)
I intend to use this as a working SSD on video projects

The copy process works up to around 30% (say 100gb) then grinds to a halt. The volume disappears in Windows and I get an error “specified volume does not exist”

I’ve tried alternative data cables, motherboard, changing drive name, disk checking through windows)
(Actually the disk didn’t format properly when I tried that am when the volume disappeared during that too)
Windows is saying the driver is up to date and no better ones are available.

To a normal HDD I’ve had no issues at all.

Don’t understand this. Can anyone suggest a way to fix?

Current hardware

MSI X570 gaming pro
Ryzen 5600k
MSI RTX2060 Ventus 12gb
Corsair Vengeance 16GB RGB
EVGA 750 Bronze 80+ PSU
SAMSUNG 870 EVO 500GB SSD (boot)
SAMSUNG 870 EVO 1TB SSD
Seagate Barracuda 4 TB Internal HDD
Seagate Barracuda 16 TB Internal HDD

I tried a different data cable and no joy.
Also, as above I did look for some software on samsung's website but I couldn't find any downloads for diagnostics, only a copying tool which only works if you have an OS on it, this one doesn't) I think they just take them back and look for repairs. (Or perhaps I'm a noob and couldnt find it)
I had tried installing up to date drivers (didn't flash bios, but didn't see any BIOS updates that looked like they had better SATA controls or anything.
I had ordered a new PSU and with that (and new cables) it worked without an issue. Same SSD used.

My thought would be it was either the Power cable or the PSU itself, either way. All good now.
After weeks of issues in my last build, I'm finally set up with a working Rig
Thanks for your suggestions and help.
