Hi all
I upgraded my PC late last year and have the following specs:
HD 7970 GHZ edition
i7-4770K
Asus z87 Maximus VI Hero Mobo
8 Gig Ram
Windows 8.1
I have recently been playing Wolfenstein New Order and Watch dogs, both which were lacking in smoothness, I had annoying screen tear I couldn't remove/reduce, even using CCC for the GFX card.
I started looking at my monitor specs and realised this could be the cause, I was using a Sony Syncmaster TV/Monitor: I didn't realise the resolution...ww.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-L194WT-SF-monitor
The LG monitor is capable of 1440 x 900 and as soon as I went back to this monitor and set the higher resolution in the games options the screen tear was gone, so my query is, does a resolution of 1440 x 900 really make that much difference when compared to 1360 x 768?
If so I will look to buy anew monitor as I need a DVI and HDMI connection, my LG monitor only has a DVI connection.....
Appreciate any help...
