Guys,

Having never designed or uploaded my own website before I need a little assistance in how to do it please.

I just need to be pointed in the right direction as to where to go regarding who I can use to host the website, how I can design one and how much I am looking at paying.

Any advice would be great :)

+1 for TSO Host, service is fantastic.

Also, it'll be a bit of a learning curve, but try installing a CMS system like cmsmadesimple.org - will at least get you up and running if your not to familiar with code/design.

Cheers guys, I will take a look at all that has been mentioned.

I am quite excited never had a website before :p

Or Vidahost to host it - depending on how good you are at HTML, you can use something like Dreamweaver up to the hardcore Notepad++ people :)

You should give wordpress a try as a backend system. It's simple to use and very cusomisable and extendable.

I have about 25 wordpress sites so if you want to see some practical examples then bob a message over to my trust

As you know I went with vidahost.

To get my website up and running I played around with drupal for a while but in the end I got a bit fed up with it as I dont think its designed overly well for the beginner. I had a quick bash using soholaunch and notice its a bit more user friendly but only has a 14 day trial period

My site so far which to be fair is very bland and built with soholanch;)

Any tips would be great
