After a slight PSU hiccup, I'm currently running a 4870 on stock air and I'd quite like to integrate it into my water loop. Overclocking is nevbenefit but the real plus point is stopping the system sounding like a particularly demented vacuum cleaner.

So I'm after a 4870 compatible full cover block. The only one OCUK seem to have is the heatkiller X2. Has anyone had any experience with these and, if push comes to shove, do the 4890 blocks work with 4870s? Bone question, Iknow, but if the heatkiller block is compatible with both, then presumably ATi can't have done anything too drastic to the reference design...

the 4890 blocks do not work with the 4870's as they have a different arrangement, try looking at the EK blocks, you could also try a fan spotted on the graphics card so the graphics fan (looking something like this: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-124-XF&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1403 has to work less producing less nise but still providing the same cooling power. You could also try PCI slot blowers or get generic cooling blocks which fit over the Vcc and the GPU and thus is not graphics card specific.
