I too have been pondering the Qashqai, but against the Sportage and Tucson. As for the Qashqai, it depends what comfort level you want but the N-Connecta seems to be recommended.Nissan Qashqai or Ford Kuga .. not sure of trim level yet on both but looking at hybrid/petrol definitely not electric I would really appreciate your opinions
Thanks

I like the styling of the latest Qashqai.
Kuga are horrendous. Square wheel and the mild hybrids are just awful awful cars with the regen that you can't turn off. I have NO idea how they can be the most popular car, it's certainly not on merit.
it's bascially impossible to have the car behave neutrally. It's always accelerating or braking. It's just horrific. Also the (non user adjustable) strength of the regen alters depending on the current battery charge level. it's just evil.I think a huge number of people who buy that kind of car will just wander in to anywhere that sells 'cars' and just buy one. I dont think much more thought than that can go into it as there's no other reason for so many being around, like you say certainty can't be on any merit of the cars themselves.

Owners feedback on Parkers, and reviews on Autotrader don’t paint a very positive picture of the Qashqai. Just like with my current car, Skoda Octavia, it has glitches.thanks for the reply bubby I'll have a look at the N-Connecta

wow that's a shocker thanks for the replyI got a mate who is a recovery driver, I asked him what the top 3 car manufacturers that he attends to because of a breakdown, expecting land rover/jaguar and then whatever French manufacturer.
I was quite surprised when he said most common was Nissan, and particularly Qashqai's.
