some advice pls

recently during the hot weather i smealt some rather hot compnents in my rig but prior to turning it off it bsods on me, i think ok safety measure and restart it when the sun has gone down thinking its cooler.

I get nowhere saying something like sytemdisc corrupt (not that but close), so i unplugg the hdd's 3 that i have (all 3 have xp on them as i have never moved files and wiped the discs for the space) it will let me boot 2 of them with the xp disc in the cd drive but not with out. my main 300gig wd wont boot at all even with the xp disc, this had most of my movies all my photo's and music on. im really cheased off to say the least.

why would all my 3 hdd's ,2 sata and one ide be corrupt? and how do i get them to load windows with out the disc being needed.

Having a non working hard drive wont stop you booting off of the windows CD.

i dont really understand that, does that mean that with a windows cd in you dont need a physical hard drive at all?

anyhow on topic, what do i do next when my 2 other hard drives are fully functional but on boot it says corrupt systemdisc?

is it a mobo issue? or am i barking up the wrong tree?

Sounds to me like your HDDs may have been active at crash time and your data has been corrupted.

May be worth trying a re-install on one of them (or another HDD so you dont lose data on them).
