Some arma 2 help please

jusy picked this up and doing the training, on the abhrams tank training, problem i'm having is i'm being told to switch to the gunners seat to use the machine gun but i can't figure out how the hell to do it.

If you have a middle mouse button then press that mate and scroll, if not then use your '[,]' keys

thats just swiching the rounds in the main cannon from HE to something else and not actually switching weapons. Damn i played the original arma long ago forgot how hard it is

Try using the F key to switch to machine gun, if that fails jump out of the tank and you should have options to be seated in different parts of the tank
