HI chaps, I need a bit of advice.

In my line of work I often have to find video clips for various projects. Some times these clips are ridiculously obscure and aren't something that I'm going to find knocking around youtube / vimeo. So, I've decided that I'm going to film them.

What I need is something that is going to create nice videos. I think ( i don't know that much ) that i will need something where i can manually adjust the focus and also allow for Dof ?

I don't have a budget as this is something knocking around my head but obviously the cheaper the better. any ideas ?

expensive and requires skill and practice, I'd consider outsourcing for better results as you say this is work related.

go and test a few cameras, an entry level dlsr with video capability + a 35mm 1.8 would be a starting place. However, decent lights and a mic if you need sound might also be required.

It really depends on what it is you are wanting to film

hiring some one to do it isn't really an option. I'm keen to learn and have a mild experience with cameras.

These clips i will be shooting will only ever be really short and cut together with others so its not like im shooting a documentary.

any suggestions on a good entry dlsr ?
