It depends on the level you appreciate the skill involved, of which at Monaco there is massive amounts.
Similarly, I find football a dull 90s minutes of watching overpaid council estate ingrates kick a ball about, yet there are others who are enthralled by it.
Used to be, current driving style, car style makes Monaco pretty awful. When races were won and lost on cornering, you could dive in at several corners in Monaco and make a pass, I think Hamilton has shown you get screwed if you do that there. Hell not just the current style of cars(easier cornering, stupid downforce in corners and the worst, risking breaking late into a corner to make a move = screwing tyres = impossible with current tyres), but the rules. Hamilton got done for Maldanado turning in on him and for me, Massa turning in on him as well.
This is a track where Schumacher... yes, Michael accepted Hamilton had him and pulled out and respected the space.............. but due to the way decisions have been given over the past 2-3 seasons other drivers(particularly newer ones) don't feel this is required.
Hamilton made a ballsy move and Schumi said, nice one and let him have it, Maldanado decided to cut across him on a track where that is recklessly dangerous to do so. Sensible drivers are too sensible to risk it anymore, and the stupid reckless drivers are simply unsafe, too much getting used to driving on tracks with monumentally big run off area's.
A set of drivers who respect an overtaking move on a dangerous track and allow it to happen and proper tyres you can't ruin a race with one late breaking lock up and Monaco CAN be fantastic again as it has been in the past.
As it is now its dangerous and boring
Sensible changes to the track, the leveling of track out of the tunnel is LONG overdue and it might just make it a little safer to try outbreaking another car into that chicane but, probably not.
