Some cheap essentials for a newbie?

If you have to carry your camera around for any length of time you will soon find out why the stock one sucks. Mine would cut into my neck and the camera felt like a rock around my neck.

I went with a OpTech Pro which is nice and comfy and makes the camera feel like it weighs a lot less.

The new generation of straps are a must for DSLR users. As some DSLR's are a sizeable piece of kit.
So SAmSunNG is right, the stock ones are pants !

Are there any other good cheap macro lenses for my 350d?

Is an extra flash 100% needed for macro shots or will the built in flash give acceptable shots?

Cheers :)

Everything iv read about macro is mostly about decent light. You could get ok results with your normal lens and some extension tubes if you didnt want to splash out on a full blown macro lens. Is that what your interested in shooting?
