Some different sport...

Sports photography in the traditional sense isn't normally my thing (I do a bit of snowboarding and mountain biking stuff but it's generally pretty set up) but I grabbed my camera for a trip to the polo last weekend and came away with these...

Nice set, I'd like to see more tighter shots like 2 & 3. I've never been to a polo match, did you get much candid stuff?

I wasn't really aiming to shoot much so I was just shooting a few frames here and there - pretty interesting and completely free afternoon though so difficult to argue with.

Plenty of candid stuff for the taking, it was very friendly, nothing to stop you going for a chat with the players after I could see but I was primarily there to chill with some friends rather than take photos.

Could have used a few tighter ones yes, only had a 70-200 with me though, which wasn't quite enough unless the action was right in front of me. I'd probably take a 300/2.8 if I went again I think (or maybe a TC14 would be more logical).

without wanting to sound harsh, they're all a bit snapshot'y for my liking?

they're not the best framed/cropped, the whole horse(s) need to be in shot on 2 and 3 for them to make sense for example. 1 and 4 need centering up and straightening. and the last is just a little bit of an unflattering capture for the rider.

no offence they just dont work for me.. sorry.
