some feedback please

Times New Roman is not an online font. Didn't get beyond that, and if I was a prospective customer, I'd have gone elsewhere. Sounds harsh, but that's the way it is. Times is reserved for pages that didn't load properly.

 You would've gone elsewhere because Times New Roman isn't an 'online' typeface? Because Serif fonts should be reserved purely for printed materials? Wrong...

A lot of the HTML savvy posters have already provided some good design tips. I just want to say from a content perspective it's fine. As [TW]Fox has already mentioned, I would also take advantage of the fact that you are with The AA. For a start, feature their logo on your website with their permission.

unfortunately i cant use an AA logos on my site. the AA wont allow it due to corporate image.

This calls into question the whole point of buying into a franchise. If you cannot use the AA logo on your own advertising what on earth is the point in buying into an AA franchise, surely the entire point in having a franchise instead of your own private organisation is that you can use the brand of the household name!?

Confused by this also. Seems like an expensive buy-in for no real benefits.

As for the site itself, it just looks far too late 90's "designed in Frontpage" to be taken seriously. And yes, the URL is just awful, it matters not that you have bought it already, buy another, they aren't expensive.

positives - it works, only a few broken images. Facebook integration is a great idea, though in this instance I can't see it actually getting you a great amount of business. It's simple and loads fast.

negatives - it's simple, very simple. url has to go, it's a huge mouthful. keep it if necessary but buy a shorter name! Purple....not to everyone' tastes. Get rid of the counter, nobody (except you of course) is interested in your visitor stats...

On the whole, an alright attempt to improve on. What did you use to design it, as it seems that might be holding you back...

Just to let you know mate on your pass rates page : "Lack of steering control : Sterring too early or too late"

Well, there is the spelling mistake, but also every single use of a colon is wrong.

Grammatically speaking it shouldn't be spaced from the preceding word.

If you want my advice, hire a professional.

Short term, lose the counter, new colours, new fonts, new URL, new copy.

Yeah lose the counter, from what I see of the design it won't take too much to get it looking considerably nicer. Colour change, clearer navigation, new logo not too much work.

Make some effect on the navigation links. To show you're hovering over it etc... usability. Either remove initial underline and on hover show underline or have ti change to a slightly lighter colour.

p.s. Counter = no no :P

blacks and greys always seem to suit a business site well, though it's open to discussion. maybe one shade of purple if you really want to keep that...

I have been playing around with a screenshot of your site. peeps please feel free to chop and change it.

To Be honest I'm not really a designer but I thought I would clean it up a bit.

This is what happens when you let the client write the content and you dont check it :D
