Why did you get stopped by coppers?

Anyway, number 1 and 4 are really awesome, although 4 could do with a little straightening out.

Great stuff though :)

tbh we were packing up and he came up to us and asked what we are taking pictures of so we all go our cameras out and showed him. There were 5 of us. each with between 50-60 pics. There are some high threat buildings apparently that cant be photographed. He did say that we can always inform the central station first if we are doing it. apparently we looked a little suspect on cctv! In the station we asked the station manager first so he was aware.

Yey, we're not allowed to take urban pictures anymore incase we're terrorists :(

Just let your local bobbies know! I mention a series of shots iwould like to do in a "not very nice" part of town and he said letthem know when and they can provide support.

Did get a pic of him though but on my mates camera

i don't understand why terrists would want to photograph buildings? there's no practical application to that, unless they were using an X-ray (or even better, F-ray) camera.

Different view points on buildings there planning on attacking?

That 1st pic is awsome!

I think 3, 4 and 5 would look better if the camera had been facing in slightly different directions. 3 a little lower, 4 a little higher and not sure about 5. But they are nice photos, I do like the rail ones

Really nice pics, especially like 1 & 4, as said before some could do with a bit of leveling, but otherwise great.
Can I ask what settings were used?
Once I get a tripod I would love to get out and about to try stuff like this.

Kit used was my 400d with sigma 17-70 f2.8. tripod and wired remote. long exposures of about 40 seconds on most. Lens hood is useful to stop falring and an extremly clean lens as with those exposures it can really pick the dust up on the lens.

3 was low but duoe to the hills in sheffield and that being half way up one of them. my spirit level said it was straight but the picture say otherwise so had to rotate and crop and lost a bit of the bottom.

4 i agree could do with being a little higher. i did get too much pavement in the shot.

5 ifi moved round any more to the left i would have had the lamp bang in the middle of the shot.

I was looking at those pictures and I was like... "Those sure do look familiar!" Then I looked at your location and found it was the same as mine. Sheffield rocks!
