Some help for my other half (fintech recruiters)

My girlfriend has been unhappy in her current role for a while now. They got taken over by a US company, a lot of people made redundant (unfortunately not her, which would have been nice as she'd been there for 8yrs) and it's just generally been going downhill since.

She's not particularly career-driven so although she is unhappy with what her role has now changed into, she gets on well with her team, still gets paid the same for what is essentially a much-easier role. But it's making her unhappy at the end of the day.

Without giving too much away, she works on the regulations/rules for one of the big 3 (?) credit card payment technology providers. So in my mind, she's ideally placed to go to any 'newer' fintech sort of company.. It's not an industry I know about but I know there's a million companies out there trying to get in on payment technology/services. The sort of ones that make even Paypal seem old hat. Whenever I mention this to her she's like "Oh I don't want to work at a startup" which is fair enough, but I need to show her what's out there, and get her excited about some roles where she can use her knowledge. I think she is vastly under-estimated how useful her knowledge/skills could be at a company outside of the well-known payment technology companies.

So, tldr; Can anyone recommend some fintech jobs websites, or recruiters? London/SE based.

Thanks!

Regulations/rules - would Compliance fall under that?
She used to be a technical author (software, mobile technology) so that was her original "trade" for quite a few years. She seems a bit stuck on finding "authoring" roles whereas I think she should use her regulations/rules knowledge and branch out into something else that can get her excited. I don't think compliance is exactly the same but might be worth persueing. I know other people outside of team have gone into that.

The reason I ask, is that my previous place were always looking to expand the Compliance team so it may be something that could help her out?

Thanks, I'll ask her about compliance roles again, as I'm not entirely sure what it's all about :p Is it a bank?

She is on Linkedin but doesn't use it. Again, something else to get her to see the benefits.. thanks.

No, it was a startup but has been going for 7/8 years now. It's getting a lot of coverage in the international payments space and is doing very well, would suggest that she checks them out - www.currencycloud.com

Got it thanks. She's over 40 so the idea of a startup doesn't appeal but I will certainly pass it on :)

At 48 and having worked in blue chip fintech all my life I'd bite someones hand off to give a startup a try. Large companies drain my blood like a vampire.

I think she's probably just got some (not necessarily accurate) pre-conceptions about start ups.

Recruiters might be worth a shout if people such as the above poster can recommend some good ones in that particular field.

Hs she looked at meetup.com? Some of the events there are pretty good for networking etc... Sift through the nonsense aimed at crypto fanatics and she might find something relevant and interesting.

Thanks will pass that on. Any other links for agencies etc. in London? :)
Just upload the CV to the usual job sites and linkedin. Also make sure there are keywords in it for the particular job she is looking for. Finally change the CV regularly and upload it again.

Many recruiters will be searching through the database for keywords and for recently changed CV's which indicates the person really is looking to move.

Another thing, on LinkedIn make sure she has the setting enabled to show that she's open to new opportunities/contact from recruiters.

Thanks Hades I think she'll be doing all that, but I was really after some particular recruiters for finance/tech -- with something that might get her excited. Trawling through Linkedin etc. is not going to get her particularly motivated, although it's obviously part of the process.
