Some help needed please

OK yesterday moved my wife's Mobo, cpu..and so on into a new case ( the old one was ...old )...anyway....went to boot into Windows (7) and all I'm getting is "Starting Windows " and when the four orbs begin to come together they freeze and I'm then presented with with two choices to either start Windows normally or run Windows Repair ...so after about six times....I chose to run the windows repair ...but all I got was it cant fix the issues it found ...so I'm a bit lost on how to proceed ...am I going to have to re-install Windows ?

When I ran the windows repair this is what it comes up with

Have you checked the BIOS is still setup correctly, could be the battery is kapput.

Yeah I can still get into the BIOS..and do things in there ...it just wont boot to Windows

System restore in Windows Repair?

If not the simplest solution is to slave the drive, save the files you need then wipe and reinstall.

Yeah Ted...in the end I just did a clean install of Windows ...much easier on my brain than going round in the same circles time after time
