Now before I show these a little caveat:

I've never shown off any of my images before and I may have gone a little overboard with post processing (My laptop doesn't have the best screen so its hard to tell what these really look like). None of these images are cropped at all.

All images were taken on a Konica Minolta DiMage D600. These are basically just snaps from excursions I have taken when travelling on business and pleasure:

Firstly here are some from Cape Town, South Africa

This first one was taken from an open- sided helicopter of southern Cape Town. You can see Lion's Head in the background.

Again, Lion's Head.

A dry river bed from the air, Namib Desert, Namibia I know it is technically not a good picture, but I love the colours

A dry river bed near Sossuveli, Namibia. I find it amazing such life can exist in the middle of the desert! (My current desktop background!

That's all for now- hope you enjoy & comments appreciated for this n00b :)

Some very nice shots there! Especially the first shot which I really like. The beach photo is nicely done as well.

The desert photos as you say have some very nice colours in it.

The last two don't work for me though. Maybe a lower angle or tighter framing may have helped.

i like ALL of them shots, particularly from cape town and i like the dry river bed one too.

very nice

1 & 3 are my favourite, they are really nice and have that wow factor to stand out against the others in the set:)

Thanks :) I am pleased with the way they came out considering my camera is a compact I bought off Ebay for £200 3 1/2 years ago!

I am especially happy with the dry river bed in Sossuveli considering it was taken through an aircraft window :) (Hence the slight bluriness visible on the rocks and trees on the bottom right hand side and some window reflections in the sky that I need to remove)

Gord, please could you explain how I might be able to improve the Thailand shots? Is it just the fact there is too much in the picture? Or is it something I can improve with cropping/ post processing?

Thanks
