In quite a few games, but not all.. i've noticed when buildings, objects etc are far away they're blurred, and the closer i get the more detailed they are.

Tried google but i can't find anything about this, and it's hard the phrase the right search terms!

Just got my 8800gtx aswell, tried latest official drivers, and these new 163.11 beta ones.

It happens a lot on armed assault, and a little of HL2 or any source engine.

graw2 seems fine, so does oblivion?! Seems like it's only certain games. But it's right ****** me off! want everything to look amazing at maxed.

How should i have my drivers setup? spec in my sig!

No swearing

not sure, but is this to do with how you set up the viewing distance ingame? ie the graphics card is designed to reflect real life, therefore the further away something is the more blurry it will look, this is reflected in a games programming, and subsequently how you will see it on screen.

its happens with my x300 intergrated grahics, my x1900xt 256mb and my 8800GTS 320mb

Thats true, but sometimes, especially in arma. buildings are a totally blank texture, then i come closer and all in one go it goes nice.

my af and aa are always on max in games settings! or should i force them in drivers to max?

no experience with ArmA, don't have it/not played it...maybe someone else who has can comment on whether this is the case for them as well

edit...sigs to big mate, 4 lines of text only ;)

edit2: what other games have you noticed this in ie a full list of those that have, and those that havn't

i know this happens in the battlefield games, and not in GRAW2 (i have them)
