Only a few models still have one, the Z4, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X3, X5 etc all have an electronic parking brake.

No, they all have whatever handbrake the base model has - so the M5 has an electronic one, the M4 has a conventional one.

Yep. If a 5 series has electric handbrake, so does every other 5 series inc M5.

Ah in that case quite bizarre the 4 series didn't adopt an electric handbrake since it's fairly new.
