Some Memory Help Plse

Hi,

I have Currently got 4 x 1 DDR2 533 mhz in my base. If i upgrade to 4 x 2 DDR 533 mhz will it give me much more performance?

Current PC is

Quad core AMD phenom x 4 9850 - titan fenrir cooler
MB - ASUS - M2N-SLI-DELUXE
4 X 1 ddr 2 533 mhz
285 gtx - 1 gig
old Hard Drive 320 GIG
dell 24 ultra 2410 ver a01

I can get the 4 x 2 memory at a good price. Is it worth the upgrade

it would definitely help your setup although you havent mentioned what OS your running?
32Bit is limited to 3.25GB and will remap your memory to be recognised whihc in turn will also slow it down slightly where as 64bit will take as much memory as you can fit in it

Also what do you use your system for as 8gb maybe overkill.
